I don't know if she knows, or cares, how much that hurt.

My emotions, a lot of the time, are muted or dead. I've spent a lot of time wishing it wasn't so, that I could experience the heights that other people apparently do. However, right now I'm glad I can't reach their lows. It sucks enough as is.
